Meeting of German-speaking AGN specialists in Rotterdam
This year's meeting of the German-speaking AGN members took place in Rotterdam, the city with the biggest port in Europe. During this annual meeting the main topic: cross-border tax and audit issues within the German speaking countries has been discussed between specialists of the different countries.
Besides the representatives of the German AGN-members colleagues from the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic and UK took part in the various meetings. This underlines the growing importance of German within Europe as well as the availability of a German AGN-Website: www.agn.org - choose language "German".
"The exchange of personal experience between colleagues supports the early identification of risks, which might arise during cross-border transactions and ensures that a specialized contact person in the concerned country can be easily found" summarized SH+C managing director Richard Hempe the result of the meeting. Main topics this year were cross-border inheritance tax issues, various national regulations regarding the audit of European wide operating company groups, the use of life insurances which can not be garnished in certain countries for the retirement arrangement of medium-sized entrepreneurs and as a special topic with the specialists from Bureau van Dijk - an intensive examination of the current transfer pricing issues.
"The personal contact with colleagues of the other German-speaking AGN companies working in the same realm is advantageous for our clients because of fast information supply as well as contacts to German-speaking experts abroad" highlighted SH+C's managing director Oliver Kächele as a conclusion of the meeting.
